We had the best time doing the craft workshop and our class leaders were brilliant and very patient, even when we got stuck in traffic and turned up quite late.
I would absolutely use The Crafty Hen again and will recommend you to friends and family. Thank you so much for helping to contribute to a fabulous hen day.
Afternoon Tea Week
The way to our Crafty Hen hearts, is through tea and cake. And we know we're not alone.
In the spirit of Afternoon Tea Week, we're reflecting on some of our favourite afternoon tea providers that we've been lucky enough to visit as venues for our craft parties.
Our crafty workshops take place all over the UK and in a wide variety of venues. From glamping sites, to windmills, to boats, to penthouse apartments and of course to tea rooms!
So we've rounded up five of our favourite (and well tested!) tea rooms that we can suggest as perfect venues for our craft parties.
1. Goldbrick House - Park Street, Bristol
It's a tough battle to pick our favourite afternoon tea cafe in Bristol, a city which certainly knows how to put on a good spread. But Goldbrick House is the one to go to for a sophisticated afternoon tea in a sumptuous Georgian townhouse on what is often voted the hippest street in the world.
2. Taj's Tea Parlour - Brighton Square, Brighton
A favourite of our Brighton based crafty hens, Taj always welcomes our crafty hens into her vintage tea rooms with a smile. Its become our favourite place to stop by for a cup of tea in Brighton!
3. The Butterfly & The Pig - Bath Street, Glasgow
We were lucky enough to visit this cosy tea rooms when we hit the road with Hillarys Blinds to lead their series of crafternoon roadshows. The Butterfly & The Pig's cakes are presented so beautifully they are almost too good to eat - almost!
4. Fiztbillies - Trumpington St, Cambridge
A Cambridge institution! Fitzbillies is renowned for its Chelsea buns, baked fresh on site everyday, seven days a week. What else do you need to know!
5. Kettners - Soho, London
A grand venue based right in the centre of Soho, Kettners hosts a network of quirky private hire rooms, a glamorous cocktail bar and some fine afternoon tea. We could get lost here for hours and wouldn't mind in the slightest.
So if you are planning a Crafty Hen workshop and fancy teaming it with some delicious tea and cakes, come say hello and let us know. If you're not planning your next party in any of the above cities, don't worry, we have a wide network of delicious cafes we can suggest all around the UK.
After all, what could be better than cake and crafting!
