Crafty Adventures to Unusual Locations

Over the past few years, we have been getting crafty in every corner of the UK. From the Isle of Wight to the Highlands of Scotland, and from Brighton to Belfast - and everywhere in between! Normally, we are quite accustomed to running our crafty workshops in groups' homes, holiday cottages, bars, cafes and even a few luxurious penthouse suites along the way! Wherever suits each individual group the best.

But every so often we get an adventurous bunch of crafty hens who have a more unusual venue in mind for their hen party, birthday or baby shower. At the start of this year in fact, we found ourselves in a very quirky and adorable windmill in Buckinghamshire, teaching some very lovely hens how to make beautiful bespoke vintage garters.

Then, just a few weeks later The Crafty Hen set sail! Taking our bunting workshop to the waters, entertaining a very crafty Bride and her brood of hens. Fuelled by tea, champagne and cake, this group created some very special and travel inspired (of course!) bunting, made from beautiful map and airmail fabrics. There is no doubt that this bunting will be perfect hanging up on the wedding day.

We've even found ourselves at some wonderful glamping sites all over the UK. The most fun crafty glamping workshop to date has to be at the rather beautiful Cosy Under Canvas in Powys, making Superhero Capes bespoke workshop for a lovely group of ladies. We're excited to be heading back to Cosy Under Canvas next month, this time for a Patchwork Quilting workshop!

The Crafty Hen will also be taking to the waters once more, with another workshop planned alongside afternoon tea on a canal barge in Bath. And with a few more glamping locations to visit, we'll be sampling the fresh air of Cornwall, the Peak District and Yorkshire whist getting crafty this Summer.

Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter to keep track of our Crafty Hen adventures. Who knows where we could end up next!
