Last weekend we were invited along to run two bespoke workshops in Birmingham and Cardiff as part of Hillarys Blinds crafternoon event. Lots of lovely bloggers descended upon The Custard Factory in Birmingham on Saturday and Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff on Sunday for a fun afternoon of crafting!

First up, we showed everyone how to make a bespoke book cover using lots of lovely fabrics provided by Hillarys Blinds and how to customise it using the ribbons, buttons and trims we brought along too. We were very impressed with how well the bloggers did with this task and even saw a few decorative suffolk puffs thrown in!

After a quick break for some all important tea and biscuits, we set the bloggers the task of creating a lovely 3D bird, again using the beautiful Hillarys Blinds fabrics. Check out the pictures below to see some snaps from both days or take a look at the hashtag #HillarysCrafternoon on Twitter & Instagram to see how all our crafty bloggers did. You may even spot a few blog posts from the lovely bloggers about their experience showing off their crafty new skills!

Thanks very much to Joe Blogs from asking us to take part in the workshops! We're looking forward to next weekend as #HillarysCrafternoon goes back on the road and we head up to Newcastle and Glasgow. Hope you northern bloggers are feeling crafty! Remember to follow #HillarysCrafternoon to keep up with all things crafty over the weekend!
