Last weekend we led another afternoon of creative blogger experiences on behalf of Laura Ashley. Rounding up a bunch of lovely Scottish bloggers, this crafternoon event took place in Glasgow and was a great way to promote the latest range of crafty Laura Ashley products.
At the very first #LauraAshleyCrafts event, we worked with Laura Ashley's Spring Summer 2015 collection of beautiful fabrics and pretty printed wallpapers to put together a bespoke bookbinding workshop. This time around, it was all about the wonderful range of Laura Ashley craft kits. With so many great craft kit options to chose from, it was a tough decision picking which two activities we were going to focus upon at the Glasgow crafternoon!
On the day, once all the wonderful bloggers invited along by Joe Blogs had settled in, we set about introducing the first activity - paper decoupage. Perfect for all those who like to get a little messy with their crafts! The Decoupage Home Kit contains all you need to customise a set of cute wooden letters using exclusive Laura Ashley printed papers. (A perfect stocking filler for someone who is a big Laura Ashley fan!)
To allow time for their decoupage creations to dry, and to keep our arty bloggers fuelled through the rest of the afternoon, it was time for a quick cake break. But before long we were all set for the second activity of the day - needle felting! Yet another handy craft kit from Laura Ashley. In the spirit of the season, we set about helping all our bloggers design and make their own needle felted Christmas decorations. This is where our lovely Scottish bloggers unleashed their creativity! From snowmen to teddy bears, christmas puddings to minions, three dimensional blue birds to the Little Mermaid! We were very impressed with how well everyone did with this activity, and the quick addition of some Laura Ashley ribbons, their felted creations were ready to hang on the Christmas tree.
