Everybody had a brilliant time making their flower crowns, most importantly the hen absolutely loved it, but even the non crafters really enjoyed it and were thrilled with what they had created at the end. They all looked amazing and definitely played a big part in successfully pulling off our festival themed hen!
Both ladies running the session were really friendly and helpful and had a great selection of lovely materials for us to use.
New Workshop - Get Scrapbooking!
Here at The Crafty Hen we love coming up with ideas for new workshop options. Our newest session on offer is the Scrapbook Workshop and we're sure it is going to be popular one!
For this workshop, each Hen individually produces a collage to be included on one page of the scrapbook. In the collage they can commemorate a special memory had with the Bride-to-be, give her a personal message or share a special thought. We supply a lovely range of materials and tools which can be used to create the collages including lovely textured and patterned papers, stamps, pinking scissors, stickers, ribbons and plenty of glue! It is great if the Hens and the Bride-to-be bring along a selection of photographs which they would like to be featured in the book to help add that extra personal touch. We also bring along a polaroid camera to capture a couple of unique photographs on the day to be included amongst the collages!
Throughout this session the Bride-to-be is of course not left out and can get crafty too by customising a picture frame using many of the same materials and techniques! This personalised picture frame can then be taken away at the end of the session as a special memento of her day!
During the workshop our session leader is there to show some great examples of what can be designed, inspire the Hens to get crafty, illustrate techniques and help design pages. At the end of the workshop, the session leader will help to construct the scrapbook by sticking in each page and once completed it will be a personalised and sentimental gift for the Bride-to-be to take away with her.
