The Revival of Crafting, Mending and Sewing

Over the past few years, the UK has seen a huge surge in the desire to get sewing, making, mending and crafting. There has been a revival of the make do and mend spirit made famous in the post-war era, which many put down the the economy causing the British public to become more conscious of the value of their clothes. Another reason could be down to an increase in people's awareness of ethical clothing production from the high street, making them spend less and repair more.

A satisfying and humble hobby, sewing is much simpler than people think! At our crafty hen parties, baby showers, birthday parties and all other events, everyone involved alway leave astonished at what they managed to create. Despite many of them coming to the sessions with no prior sewing experience at all. Many of those who attend a crafty hen party in fact go on to wear their wonderful creations at the wedding, which goes to show just how much of a professional piece they manage to create! It is also always wonderful to hear so many of our crafty party attendees who leave their workshop adamant that they want to keep up this new skill and keep crafting. We're spreading the crafty feeling all over the UK one party at a time!

Of course, the best way to learn a new skill is to do it with friends. Which is why we believe our crafty workshops are a wonderful way to introduce you to crafting, sewing, stitching and creating!
