Costs:

Bookings cost from £30 per person (inclusive of VAT), individual session costs and details can be found on each workshop option page. This fee includes all workshop materials, equipment and expert tuition. The sessions last between 2 & 3 hours depending on the activity. Minimum guest charge is for 10 people. We can cater for smaller groups but need to charge for 10 to cover our costs to run the session. Occasionally if you require a session in a remote part of the UK, an additional travel cost may need to be charged, depending on workshop location, but as we work with workshop leaders all over the country we try and avoid passing this cost onto you whenever possible.

Your own venue:

Sessions can be held in a venue of your choice right across the UK, including your home, hire cottage or accommodation etc, all we need is a table space for everyone and a bit of extra room to put our wonderful bounty of materials. Organising your own venue has the added benefits of you being able to provide your own drinks, snacks and music to accompany your session if you wish, and it's generally cheaper. We just require enough space for everyone to sit down and a table space for materials and (for some sessions) an iron and board. Session requirements vary a little, but ask us if you are unsure of anything. We've been to all corners of the UK, from Belfast to Kent, Edinburgh to Plymouth, Swansea to Norwich, and everywhere in-between, we are sure that we are able to come to your location!

Arranging venues:

We can also suggest venues in most major cities and towns across the UK for your session, mainly in bars, but sometimes cafe's, art centres, community spaces etc. Some of these venues are free, or have minimal charges, some require drinks or afternoon tea (yum!) to be purchased in exchange for spaces. We try to offer you a selection of alternatives where possible. It is of course possible for you to arrange your own similar venues too, and we are happy to liaise with them about the practical aspects as and when is necessary.

How your booking works:

  1. Contact us using the booking enquiry form, send us an email, or give us a call (we're friendly!). Give us as much information as you can so we can check availability and share as much information about your ideal workshop as we can.
  2. We’ll get back to you to confirm receipt of your information, and make suggestions of venues (if relevant) in your chosen area. You should get this reply within 24 hours, or maybe a little longer at the weekend when we are busy running sessions. Please check your junk mail if you haven't heard from us in this time.
  3. Once we have confirmed the details of your booking with you, we require a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure it. We take your deposit amount from the final balance due. We do however have a minimum charge for 10 people. We'll also ask you for any special requirements for your session, like colour schemes or vintage options for example.
  4. Four weeks before your event we’ll need a final head count so we can purchase materials and prepare your workshop. At this point we’ll also arrange payment for the balance that is due.
  5. Turn up on the day and everything will be prepared ready for you to enjoy your workshop (and magically cleared away afterwards too!).
  6. Enjoy wearing/using your handmade items. You are now a Crafty Hen too!
