Recently, we welcomed Inspired Bride editors Sally and Rachel into the Crafty Hen offices for a special vintage garter masterclass. They spent a sunny afternoon in the courtyard getting crafty and learning how to make their very own bespoke garters over tea and biscuits.

Who doesn't like Laura Ashley fabrics and wallpapers?
When a huge delivery of beautifully printed wallpapers and rolls of lovely fabric arrived at Crafty HQ, we were all dreaming of which Laura Ashley prints we would most like to decorate our homes with. But, instead, we behaved ourselves and kept all the latest Spring/Summer fabrics and wallpapers ready to run another bespoke blogger workshop.

Over the past few years, we have been getting crafty in every corner of the UK. From the Isle of Wight to the Highlands of Scotland, and from Brighton to Belfast - and everywhere in between! Normally, we are quite accustomed to running our crafty workshops in groups' homes, holiday cottages, bars, cafes and even a few luxurious penthouse suites along the way! Wherever suits each individual group the best.

We've been running our quilt making workshop for quite a while as part of our bespoke range of sessions. But in the last few months we have seen such a huge surge in requests for this crafty activity that we have now officially added it as its own workshop listing! We're excited to launch this session in its own right and also include the option to make patchwork cushions too.

Whilst our garter making workshops are a good giggle for all the hens as everyone gets to make their own garter, for the Bride it is a little more special as she is creating the garter she will be wearing on the big day. Now, everyone knows how important the wedding garter is for the bride to wear, but did you know that it actually has a long history, a chequered past and lots of tradition associated with it?
Thanks for a lovely afternoon - cakes were amazing! (made by Folk House cafe) Lovely relaxed craft session. Kim (session leader) was great and very knowledgable, good range of materials and nice venue too! Thanks for a great afternoon!

What a fantastic day!
Kim and Cherry were both really lovely and patient with us who were all clearly non-sewers!
The finished result is amazing and the fabrics were stunning.
