About Me
I've enjoyed sharing my skills, love of materials and making things with people since I first started teaching nearly 20 years ago, but working with The Crafty Hen has given me a renewed feeling of worthiness in what I am doing. It's wonderful sharing the joy of creativity with such lovely people, all there to enjoy themselves and unite in the same, supportive, collaborative spirit
My Favourite Things
Apart from teaching and making art, sculpture and installations, I enjoy sewing, baking bread, spoon carving and whittling, tending to my plants, interior design and day trips to the coast with my partner and young son.
My Area of Expertise
Glass, textiles, metalwork, woodwork (I love it all!). I work around teaching Craft to young people and adults, my own creative practice bridges the gap between craft and sculpture. I make work about places and space, being heavily influenced by architecture, materials and the forces of nature.
